Get up and go? It's got up and gone!

This may be a moaning and rambling post, I apologise in advance Photobucket

*SIGH*....been a while since I was here. It's nearly February already and yet have had no motivation to visit.

Health is utterly crap right now...major fibro flare going on and sapping every bit of life out of me. Very bad reaction to pain meds meant I spent a couple of days struggling to string a sentence together or leave my bed for long periods of time. Have barely left the house since before Christmas, few trips to local shops has been about the full extent of my exciting life. I need a break from this, I really do.

Will endeavour to get out for a wee walk now and again...if only to remind myself that there is a world outside my living room/bedroom. Onwards and upwards...that's the plan!

Have a good week folks!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Photobucket

A Blessed Yule and a very Merry Christmas everyone!

Photobucket

In December
We Remember
Our special friends

The wish is old,
The wish is true,
A merry Christmas,
My friends, to you

It means so much
To keep in touch
...with special friends like you

Let us keep Christmas,
holding it close to our hearts...
for its meaning never ends
and its spirit is the warmth and joy
of remembering friends...
Merry Christmas
and
Every happiness in the New Year

Christmas
to us means a special occasion
when we can express our sincere thanks
to those whose friendship we cherish.
May you have a wonderful, joyous time

Break in transmission...

Service is currently unavailable due to continuing adverse weather conditions, resulting in a serious sense of humour failure.

Snow joke!

Photobucket

Snow!

Not just a little bit of snow....a bloomin shedload of the stuff! No signs of stopping either apparently. The North and the North East of Scotland is being hit quite badly right now...and we're quite hardy types up here.

Photobucket

Roads closing....schools closing and general disruption appears to be the order of the day. Where I am...we're not as bad off as some. So very thankful for small mercies.

Photobucket

The kids are having a ball of course, never seen so many sledges. Luckily for them, they don't have to drive or worry about the various dangerous aspects of the wintry weather.

Photobucket

Hope wherever you are, you're staying safe and warm. Observe the lovely snowscenes from the comfort of your warm living room if you can.

Photobucket

Take care now!

Rain!

Photobucket

What a day it is here today! The rain has been pouring down since last night and shows no sign of stopping. It's one of those cold, dark and wet days that drag you down.

Photobucket

I generally don't mind it...in fact I enjoy walking in the rain sometimes. It can be refreshing in a way. Today however...the murky greyness is overwhelming. Was glad to get back home again. Was absolutely soaked through after doing some shopping and walking the dog. Also, the dreaded fibromyalgia seems to revel in tormenting me even more at this time of the year. I don't cope well with cold now...my circulation is all screwed up and I completely lose feeling in fingers and toes.

Photobucket

It's comfort food weather...homemade soups and casseroles. Hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows...

Photobucket

Time for a cuppa methinks!

Hibernation...

For some reason, I seem to be feeling a might unsettled at the moment...Photobucket

Don't feel like venturing out at all...so will be staying cosy indoors this weekend. I shall just hibernate...

Photobucket

Currently viewing a "Pride and Prejudice" marathon on the TV. Ahhhhhhhhhh...Mr Darcy *swoon* Photobucket

This "hibernation" lark certainly has it's perks...Photobucket

Fireworks

Photobucket

Another Guy Fawkes / Bonfire Night over and done with... Photobucket

Although I dare say we'll still have some sporadic bangs and whistles over the next week or so, as folks seem to feel the need to "play" with these things more and more. Not to be a kiljoy...but it's not an event i've ever had an interest in. Nor have I ever purchased a single firework or sparkler. To me it's akin to setting fivers or tenners alight...Why???? The folks that spend £50 on a "Super Rocket"...Photobucket

I just don't get it!

Hmmmmm no...it's not for me.Photobucket

As this is a "child free" weekend for me...I was hoping for some peace and quiet. I had completely forgotten all about Bonfire Night until the intermittent bangs started up. Luckily the furries were unperturbed by the racket and slept through the worst of it, snoring blissfully. I know that some animals have a mortal fear of fireworks and I feel sorry for them at this time of year.

Jeeeeeeezo....this all sounds a bit "Bah Humbug!" Photobucket

Anyhoo...I hope everyone had a safe Bonfire Night and enjoyed yourselves, however you chose to spend your evening.

Enjoy what's left of the weekend! Photobucket
